Many art lovers and artists have expressed the feeling that in spite of being very rich in artistic human capital, Mississauga has not managed to consistently show its riches to delight and inspire its own residents. In addition, various art groups act on their own, somewhat isolated projects, without capitalizing on the synergies created by pooling human resources. The Streetsville Arts Collective is intended to help change this state of affairs.

Objectives of Streetsville Arts Collective:

The Streetsville Arts Collective (SAC) is a not-for-profit group, representing artists from many different disciplines. It welcomes membership from Misssissauga residents as well as some (less than 15% of total) from surrounding towns and communities. The two primary objectives of the SAC are to:

(a) Enrich the cultural life of Mississauga by organizing enjoyable events for residents and creating opportunities for members to highlight/showcase their talents. Generally, events would cater to the interests of most age groups.

(b) To help Streetsville to become the 'Arts Hub North' within the City and a truly delightful destination for residents and visitors alike!
